Imitating a Bug’s Life Cycle is Fly Fishing GA

fly fishing GAIt’s all about imitating a bug’s life cycle says a fly fishing GA guide. Mayflies are one example of a bug trout enjoy catching and eating.  Trout eat a considerable amount of the nymphal form of mayflies that live for years near streambeds; however trout also eat other stages of the mayfly life forms.  Nymphs swim to the surface as an emerger and then, as a dun, they lie on the water’s surface until they are able to fly.  The adults lay eggs in the water and die after that; this stage of life is called the spinner.  The “gifted” fly fishermen can tie flies that imitate each of these cycles of the mayflies, while others experiment with a multitude of insects for their fly fishing adventures.
